What We Feed Our Minds

What you feed your brain with is often what you go to sleep thinking about, what you may dream about, and what you wake up thinking about.

What you watch is, in many ways, what you become. What you continuously click on, engage with, and give your attention to eventually becomes part of your algorithm.

And sometimes, we don’t even realise how much we project our own behaviours, thoughts, and interests onto others.

For example, if you follow writers, farmers, builders, gardeners, or people who love creating things, you might wake up the next morning and see more posts from people building their homes, sharing advice about which bricks are stronger, what kind of cement to use, or how to grow better crops. Before you know it, your feed is filled with things that reflect what you’ve been interested in.

On the other hand, if we continuously watch violence, conflict, negativity, or anger, the same algorithms can keep feeding us more of it. Not necessarily because the world is only filled with those things, but because that is what we have been giving our attention to.

Our feeds can become a reflection of what we repeatedly choose to look at.

So, in a way, we continuously participate in choosing what influences us, what occupies our minds, and perhaps even what we slowly become.

It doesn’t mean we should ignore the difficult or uncomfortable things happening around us. But maybe it’s worth asking ourselves from time to time:

**What am I feeding my mind every day? And is it taking me in the direction of the person I want to become?**

Good morning to you all. ❤️
